Here is the study I'm thinking about along with the first 2 verses notations and study notes. You are going to have to look the verses up. I'm too lazy to type that much and feel cutting and pasting is a tad lazy.
Prayer and Spirtual Development (Prayer)
by Larry Lee14 verses, I figure 2 a week. Here are the first two for next week, February 11, 2015 at Starbucks.
Genesis 18
Exodus 32
Today, my prayer is for 'moderation.'
ReplyDeleteClarke's Commentary on Philippians 4:5
Let your moderation be known - The word επιεικες is of very extensive signification; it means the same as επιεικεια, mildness, patience, yieldingness, gentleness, clemency, moderation, unwillingness to litigate or contend; but moderation is expressive enough as a general term.
Genesis - Abraham was a man of faith. Commentary - He prays to God to allow the City of Sodom to be saved if there is one righteous man = the 'purpose' of prayer, talking to God. So I am praying today for myself, my family, my friends, that we may know God, and by knowing God, know peace..
